Accountants in Cardiff who answer the phone and agree the fee first
Accountants in Cardiff are easy to find. Getting one to ring you back the same working day, and knowing the fee before any work starts, is the harder part.
Most owners come to us after a year of chasing. We work from Titan House in Cardiff Bay, agree a fixed fee in writing before we start, and never bill for a call or an email. Tax investigation cover is included free, and every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice at Titan House in Cardiff Bay. It handles bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, year-end accounts, corporation tax and self assessment for owner-managed businesses across Cardiff and South Wales on a fixed fee agreed before work starts, with tax investigation cover included free.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your accountant in Cardiff doing the basics? Three questions.
Answer with the buttons, no email needed.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Do you know your fee will not change this year?
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
Three noes means you are carrying the deadlines and the HMRC post yourself. Run the check and we will come back with what we would deal with first.
Start the checkYou are in a reasonable position on at least one count. The one worth a conversation is what happens the day an HMRC letter lands on your desk.
Start the checkThree yeses and you are well served, so stay where you are. The guides are there if you want a second view before a decision.
Read the guidesWhat you get
Tax investigation cover at no cost
Every client gets it free, and we carry it ourselves rather than selling it on as an extra. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
A fee agreed before we start
You see the figure in writing first. Calls, meetings and emails are never added to it, so you ask the small questions.
A reply the same working day
If the full answer needs longer, we still come back that day to tell you when you will have it.
What Cardiff owners tell us when they first call
Three of these come up most weeks.
“I emailed my accountant about a VAT letter from HMRC nine days ago and still have nothing back.”
The letter carried a deadline, and the deadline went past before anyone opened the email.
“Every time I ring with a quick question I get an invoice for ten minutes of someone’s time.”
So he stopped ringing, and the decision on a second shop got made on a guess.
“There is a carrier bag of receipts behind the till and I cannot tell you what the VAT quarter looks like.”
The return went in on estimates, and correcting it cost more than the bookkeeping would have.
What changes once we take it on
We map every deadline for the year ahead: VAT, payroll, accounts, corporation tax and self assessment. You ring when the till roll does not add up and it costs nothing. If HMRC writes, you forward the letter and we handle it.
How we compare with the accountant you have now
Plenty of Cardiff firms do solid work, so here are the differences clients actually name.
The usual arrangement
Accounts arrive months after the year end.
Calls and emails can appear on the invoice.
Investigation cover is sold as a paid add-on.
You keep the deadline list in your own head.
With Supreme Consultants
Deadlines diarised for the year ahead.
Calls, meetings and emails are never billed.
Investigation cover included free for every client.
A reply the same working day.
Eight questions about how your books are run
Answer each one yes or no.
Do you know your next four filing dates?
We diarise VAT, payroll, accounts, corporation tax and self assessment for the year ahead.
Did your last VAT return go in on real figures?
Estimates get corrected later, and the correction usually costs more.
Is your fee for this year written down?
Ours is agreed before any work starts.
Have you avoided a bill for a phone call?
Calls, meetings and emails are never charged for here.
Do your accounts arrive while they still mean something?
Management accounts give you numbers you can decide on during the year.
Has anyone checked your payments on account?
They are often set too high, and we look at that in the first month.
Would HMRC post be dealt with at no extra cost?
Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
Are your Companies House records up to date?
We handle filings and director ID verification for clients we look after.

What knowing the Cardiff rules is worth on a rates bill
A Spar franchisee came to us still paying full business rates right through Covid. Cardiff Council required an application for retail rates relief and nobody had told him.
Clients described by type. Names withheld.
- How it was found
- We read his rates bill against the council’s application rule in the first meeting.
- What happened
- He got the money back and now pays what he should be paying.
Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around

How switching to us works
Most of it happens without you doing much.
- Before you join
A free introductory chat
Tell us where things stand. If we are the wrong fit for you, we will say so on the call.
- Week one
Handover done for you
We run your ID checks, confirm the fixed fee in writing, and write to your current accountant for the records. You never have that conversation.
- First month
A full review of the past
We go through old accounts, returns and your HMRC record. Missed reliefs, payments on account set too high and appealable penalties turn up here.
- By ninety days
A plan for paying yourself
We talk through salary and dividends so you keep as much as possible while staying compliant, and we tidy the bookkeeping setup.
Who we are not right for
We do not take on CIS construction subcontractors.
We do not act for charities.
We do not take on a business that is already late in an HMRC investigation.
If none of those describe you, run the check and we will tell you what we would deal with first.
Accountants in Cardiff: questions people ask
What do accountants in Cardiff cost, and how do you price it?
We work on a fixed monthly fee agreed in writing before any work starts. The figure depends on your turnover, whether you are VAT registered, transaction volume, payroll headcount and the state of your records, so we quote after the introductory chat instead of guessing. Calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top.
How do I switch from my current accountant?
You tell us to go ahead and we do the rest. We complete your ID checks, send the professional clearance letter to your existing accountant so they hand the records over directly, and get appointed as your agent with HMRC and Companies House. Switching includes a free handover, a free first month and free Xero migration.
What happens if HMRC writes to me or opens a check?
You forward the letter to us and we deal with HMRC on your behalf. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, and we carry it ourselves instead of selling it as an add-on. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. Bring us in early, because the earlier we see it the more we can change.
Do I have to change my bookkeeping software?
No. We work with the records you already keep, including spreadsheets and a carrier bag of receipts. If you want to move to Xero we migrate you free as part of joining, but it is your call. What matters is that the numbers going into your VAT return and accounts are real ones.
Where are your accountants in Cardiff based?
We are at T206 Titan House, Cardiff Bay Business Centre, Titan Road, Cardiff, CF24 5BS, open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You can meet us there, work with us entirely remotely, or mix the two. Call 029 2264 0550 or email info@supremeconsultants.co.uk and you get a reply the same working day.
Do you only work with limited companies?
No. We act for sole traders, partnerships, individuals and community interest companies as well as limited companies. The best fit is an owner-managed business that wants VAT, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts and corporation tax in one place. We do not take on one-off self assessment or capital gains returns.
