Limited company accountants in Cardiff who answer the phone and fix the fee

Limited company accountants Cardiff directors call us about are usually a replacement for one who stopped replying. The accounts went in late, the fee moved, and the corporation tax bill was the first they heard of it.

We agree a fixed fee before we start, and calls, meetings and emails are never added to it. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, because we cover it ourselves rather than sell it on. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.

In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice at Titan House in Cardiff Bay that handles bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, year-end accounts and corporation tax for limited companies across South Wales. Fees are fixed and agreed in writing before work starts, with no charge for calls, and tax investigation cover included for every client.

Is your limited company in good hands? Three questions.

Answer with the buttons; no email address needed.

Question 1 of 3

Does your accountant reply the same working day?

What you get

Tax investigation cover at no extra cost

Every client gets it included free, because we carry it ourselves. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.

A fee you agree before we start

One fixed monthly fee, in writing, covers the work and the phone. Your VAT, payroll, accounts and corporation tax dates are diarised in week one.

Welsh rules an outside firm can miss

A Cardiff convenience store franchisee was still paying full business rates through Covid because the council required an application. We spotted it and recovered £10,000.

What directors tell us when they first call

The same three sentences come up most weeks, and each one has a cost behind it.

  • “I got a corporation tax bill I did not understand and my accountant took a week to reply.”

He paid it on the due date without ever knowing what sat behind the figure.

  • “The year-end accounts went in late again and Companies House fined the company.”

The penalty was avoidable, and the bank asked for figures he could not produce.

  • “I was invoiced for a ten minute phone call, so now I just do not ring.”

The questions that save money are the small ones, and they stopped being asked.

  • What changes once we take it on

Your deadlines are mapped for the year in week one. We tell you the corporation tax figure as soon as the accounts are drafted, not when the money is due. If HMRC writes, the letter comes to us.

How your current arrangement compares with ours

Plenty of firms do the filing properly; the difference shows up in the gaps between filings.

A typical accountant arrangement

Accounts arrive months after the year end

The fee is reviewed when the invoice lands

A call or an email can be billed

Investigation cover sold as an add-on

With Supreme Consultants

Every deadline diarised for the year ahead

Fixed fee agreed in writing before we start

Calls, meetings and emails are never billed

Tax investigation cover included free

Eight questions about how your company is run

Answer these honestly and you will know whether your company is covered.

  • Do you know the corporation tax figure before the money is due?

We tell you as soon as the accounts are drafted.

  • Is your confirmation statement filed without you chasing?

Companies House housekeeping sits with us once we are your agent.

  • Are VAT returns filed from bookkeeping that is up to date?

We keep records current so the return is a check rather than a scramble.

  • Is payroll run on time with auto-enrolment handled?

Your people are paid and the pension filings go in with the run.

  • Have you been told whether salary or dividends suits you this year?

We go through profit extraction with every director we act for.

  • Would someone deal with an HMRC letter on your behalf?

We take the letter on, and investigation cover is included free.

  • Do you see numbers during the year as well as at the year end?

Management accounts give you something to make decisions on while the year is live.

  • Did your accountant handle Companies House ID verification for you?

We did it free for every existing client when the rule came in.

What we do for your limited company

Everything a Cardiff limited company has to file, handled in one place on one fee.

All Services near you
Accounts and corporation tax
Year-end accounts prepared and filed with Companies House, with the corporation tax computation and return alongside them. We claim the reliefs you are entitled to.
VAT and bookkeeping
Day-to-day bookkeeping kept current so each VAT return is checked rather than rebuilt. Xero migration is free if you want to move.
Payroll and auto-enrolment
Payroll runs on schedule with pension filings handled, so your people are paid and HMRC stays happy.
Director’s self assessment
Your personal return is prepared alongside the company accounts, so salary and dividends are set before the year closes rather than after.
Management accounts and advice
Regular figures you can act on, plus a steer on hiring, pricing and a second site when you are weighing one up.

What a proper first meeting turned up for one Cardiff company

A convenience store franchisee came to us still paying full business rates through Covid. Cardiff Council required an application for retail rates relief and nobody had told him.

What happened
The money came back to the business and the rates were corrected going forward.

I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!

How switching to us works

You say yes, and we do the parts that feel awkward.

  1. Before you join

    A straight answer on fit

Book a free introductory chat and tell us where things stand. If we cannot genuinely help, we will say so.

  2. Week one

    Your records handed over

We complete ID checks, agree your fixed fee in writing and write to your current accountant for professional clearance.

  3. First month

A review of what came before

We go through past accounts, tax returns and HMRC records. Missed reliefs, payments on account set too high and appealable penalties usually show up here.

  4. By ninety days

A plan for how you pay yourself

We talk through salary and dividends so you keep as much as possible while staying compliant, and we tidy the bookkeeping setup.

Who we are not right for

We do not act for CIS construction subcontractors.

We do not take on charities.

We do not pick up businesses already late in an HMRC investigation.

If none of those describe your company, the three-question check is the quickest way to see where you stand.

Limited company accountants Cardiff: questions directors ask

What do limited company accountants in Cardiff charge?

We quote a fixed monthly fee after the introductory chat rather than guess at it. The figure depends on turnover, whether you are VAT registered, transaction volume, payroll headcount and how tidy the records are. It is agreed in writing before any work starts, and calls, meetings and emails are never added to it.

How do I switch accountants if my company already has one?

You say yes and we do the rest. We complete your ID checks, write to your current accountant for professional clearance and collect the records directly, so you avoid that conversation. We get authorised as your agent with HMRC and Companies House, and handle Companies House ID verification free, as we did for every existing client when the rule came in.

What happens if HMRC opens a check into my company?

We deal with HMRC on your behalf. We take the correspondence on, gather what has been asked for and respond, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client because we carry it ourselves. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. Bring us in as soon as the letter lands.

Do I have to change my accounting software?

No. If what you use works, keep it and we will work from it. If you would rather move to Xero, migration is free and we set up the bank feeds and chart of accounts for you. Companies often arrive on spreadsheets and move later, at a point in the year that suits them.

Do you handle the director’s self assessment as well as the company accounts?

Yes. Most limited company clients take the full package together: bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and auto-enrolment, year-end accounts, corporation tax and the director’s self assessment, all on one fixed monthly fee. Handling both in one place is how we work out whether salary, dividends or a mix leaves you better off.

Can you look after a Cardiff limited company remotely?

Yes. We are at Titan House in Cardiff Bay and meet clients there, and we also work fully remotely or as a mix of the two. More than ninety per cent of our clients are in South Wales, and we act for companies elsewhere in the UK. Everything gets a reply the same working day.
